red. media stands for revolutionary, educational, documentaries. We are an independent documentary and digital content creator.
Our goal is to uplift bold and progressive voices in the digital world and highlight critical social and political issues that focus on our collective rights. We strive to encompass the voices of oppressed peoples struggling against capitalism, imperialism and racism, activists on the frontlines of the fight against ecocide and LGBTQ+ rights defenders.
Our team is made up of passionate journalists, activists, film-makers, authors, writers, and researchers who believe in creating content that is not only entertaining but also educational.
We believe that people’s media is essential in today’s world, where the interests of corporations and the wealthy often dictate what is reported and how it is framed. The voices and experiences of the oppressed and marginalized are often ignored or misrepresented, which reinforces oppressive power structures and perpetuates inequality.
Support us in our mission to create a more just world through storytelling that turns the prevailing narratives of history and current events on its head.
Support red. media through donations, and contributions and become part of it.

How We Fund Our Work
At red. media we believe in the power of storytelling to challenge perspectives and educate. Our work spans the globe, uncovering stories that need to be told and sharing them with audiences far and wide. How do we achieve this? Through a diverse funding model that is made up of three components:
Donations from Organizations and Individuals: We receive private donations as well as donations from organizations that believe in the importance of our work. These donations are vital, enabling us to pursue stories that matter without the influence of corporate interests or political agendas. Does it cover all our costs? No. That’s why we are always looking for new individuals and organizational donors to support our work.
Reader, Follower, and Supporter Contributions: Our readers, followers, and supporters are the backbone of our work. We do not only receive pitches, stories, and articles sent to us but also financial contributions such as Patreon direct donations. Their contributions, whether large or small, signal a trust in our mission and a commitment to the stories we tell. This support is invaluable to our operations and our spirit.
Social Media Advertising Revenue: While currently a very small portion of our income, revenue generated from social media ads adds to our financing of our work. This stream not only contributes financially but also helps us reach a wider audience, spreading the word about our work and mission.

It’s been just over a year since red. launched. Since then we’ve rapidly grown a community of almost half a million followers online. This is not a final FAQs – the more additional questions are asked, we will also answer them here in the future.
