2014, Yemen’s Ansarallah Movement took control of the capital, Sana’a. Large parts of the country erupted in celebration, with high hopes of Yemen breaking out of its semi-colonial submission to Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia’s response was brutal, launching a war that caused the world’s worst humanitarian crisis, which continues to this day.
